Farewell, meet me in Tumblr, Internet.

This blog, from now on, will be an archive of my daily comics from 2009-2010. Scott would call it another ruins of the internet. Just another American ghost town.

A quick summary of what you'll find in this collection of that year: wasted time, effort, false truths, love, heartbreak, drunks, weird relationships with women, constant status anxiety, hope, dreams, repetitive stress reaction patterns learned subconciously in childhood, unwillingless to let go. I could go on and on.

The experiment didn't exactly become what I wanted it to. Nor did I gain any real crazy awesome drawing skills. Except, now, I can draw my cartoon face in a flash... The autobio-comic wasn't always that funny. And it wasn't always dripping with profound meaning. And I censored myself a ton.

But, as a whole "work" it comes out as something disgustingly beautiful. Or pretty-ugly. That earnest effort shines. My desire to connect with you or the whole wide world there.

So, NOW, I started up a comic memoir for this year (2011-2012) and will be posting it over on my tumblr.

I'll also have a website for my new comics I'm working on. I don't have the address yet but it'll be http://www.argel.us/ ...at some point that link will work.

Please check out the comics of my lovely, handsome and talented dear friend as well:

Scott Longo's old New Feelings, new New Feelings, and his website: slongo (under construction).

Thank you for poking around. :)

My name is Argel and I draw comics.

  1. Ah! If I may, I'd also like to add Truth to the quick-summary list.

I'm sticking by what I said at the very beginning, there's REAL beauty here for the people willing to look.

Excited for the coming year, buddy.
